Closing Out 2020 With Empathy

2020-2021-Season.jpg

What are you doing, as a company, to purposefully reflect and recalibrate as you close out 2020?

It is important to acknowledge both the losses of 2020 as well as the hope and vision that will carry your organization into 2021.

Here is one way to do that:
Send out a Survey Monkey to your team to gather anonymous responses. Ask the three following prompts:

1). What have you lost this year? (grief)
2). What has not been taken from you in 2020? (awareness)
3). What has been given to you in 2020? (gratitude)

Consider sharing the findings in a video/Zoom call, "We have all been facing a lot this year, for example..." that begins by acknowledging varied losses and ends with hope. Or share a visual representation (word cloud).

Humans orient around rhythms and rituals...consider the sharing as one way to memorialize 2020.
