Empathy@Work - Essentials is an in-person workshop to equip leaders and managers to create cultures of care at work.

Empathy is not a nice-to-have personality trait.

It is an essential skill set that unleashes thriving and productivity at work.

The last four years have been marked by uncertainty, challenge, and change and because of it, people are craving meaningful support.

We know this because:

  • 85% of workers report a decline in their overall wellness over the last year

  • 76% of employees directly linked their productivity to the presence (or absence!) of empathy at work

The problem?

Many employees feel overwhelmed and under-equipped when a disruptive life event occurs. Team leaders and HR departments aren’t always sure what to say, so they hope for the best, retreat to silence or toss out a tired cliché (“It’s going to be ok” is rarely what someone needs to hear).

Join Workplace Empathy Expert Liesel Mertes and fellow people leaders on October 9 to develop empathetic leadership skills, share best practices and learn how to co-create workplaces where people want to show up and do their best work.

EMPATHY@WORK - AVATAR ACADEMY // 1:30 - 4:30 pm (optional workshop)

In the afternoon, join Liesel and go deeper with focused learning in the Empathy@Work - Avatar Academy.  This smaller, supplemental workshop session offers a deep-dive into your personal leadership style. 

Through interactive role-playing, guided reflection, and integrative table discussions, leaders and managers will emerge with the human-centric skills necessary to make lasting changes to their leadership style by putting empathy to work.  

Avatar Academy is a great add-on to the morning event, or a useful opportunity for those who have attended previous Empathy@Work events and want to integrate and level-up their empathetic toolkit.
